Islam is likely to become the primary religion in the Russian Federation by 2050 due to the high birth rate in Muslim republics.

The current Chinese-led conquest of Russia’s Far East already seems to be a matter of immediate concern for the Kremlin. The ethnic birth rate disproportion in different regions of the country is another problem. The Muslim community may become the largest community by the middle of the current century. Therefore, Islam has all chances to become the predominant religion in Russia.

There is a hadith which says that worthy people can be appreciated only by worthy ones. They say, when we mention pious people Allah grants us His blessings. So, hoping for Allah’s blessings, we are going to say few words about Imam Shamil.

A prison where a third of inmates are Muslims from the North Caucasus and Central Asia, has become the first in Moscow to open a Muslim prayer room.

Nineteenth century Butyrka prison in central Moscow held its first prayers on Friday, in a hall near a Christian church that has operated since 1989.

"Religion is the best way for one to improve and heal, and we wanted Muslims to also benefit from this," Kamil Mannatov from the Russian Council of Muftis told Reuters on Monday.

It is a typical Friday scene -- worshippers kneeling in the rain outside Moscow's biggest mosque, forced to use their shoes to anchor their prayer rugs to keep them from blowing away in the autumn winds.

The scramble for a place inside is a weekly headache for Muslims in the Russian capital, a city with one of the biggest percentage of Muslims in Europe but with only four mosques.

And their plea for more space to worship is stirring tension with Russia's resurgent nationalists.

Many things could be mentioned, but hardly everything can be said completely. Sometimes it happens that a person commits suicide, stabbing knife or gun shot. After wounding himself, he still has time to repent (make tawbah) and his sin may be forgiven, if he regretted the incident and asked for forgiveness. We live in multicultural and multireligious communities all over the Russian Federation. Dagestan is not an exclusion. Multiculturalism is the main feature and basic condition of Russia peoples' co-existence. From Medieval age to nowadays Christians (Orthodox), Muslims, Buddhists and adepts of Judaism live side by side in Russia. Russia was always strong with its tolerance and mutual penetration of different cultures and traditions. Those who dare to encroach on this are the real enemies of Russia.

Today our ‘alims have fully covered all subjects. I have hardly anything to add. However, the matter mentioned by Abdulghafuril Muhammad, I heard here for the first time. Till now nobody has ever touched that subject. Verily it is the thing my heart is aching from, which I consider as motto for me, and what I have earlier said about. What is it? - you may ask me. - Reading books or diligent learning of various sciences is not the main thing. Today it was mentioned about it for the first time.
