Malaysia'a PM, Ministers to hold Hari Raya open house at Seri Perdana

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his Cabinet ministers will hold an open house on the first day of Aidilfitri at the prime minister's official residence, Seri Perdana, here from 11.30am to 5pm.

A statement from the Prime Minister's Department on Tuesday advised the public to use the Nadi Putra bus service provided free of charge to attend the open house.

Sixteen buses would provide the service from 10.30am to 6pm from four park-and-ride locations here, namely in front of Sekolah Menengah Alam Shah, Masjid Putra, Masjid Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin and Putrajaya Sentral, it said.

The statement said that if Aidilfitri falls on Friday, the prime minister and Muslim Cabinet ministers would leave the open house for an hour from 1pm to attend Friday prayers.

A bus service is also provided for Muslim members of the public attending the open house to join the Friday prayers, it added.

On the second day of Aidilfitri, Najib, who is the Member of Parliament for Pekan, will hold open house in Pekan, Pahang, from 10am to 2pm, the statement said.
