Israeli troops raid West Bank TV stations

Israeli troops raided two private Palestinian TV stations before dawn Wednesday, seizing transmitters and other equipment, the military said.
The military said one of the outlets, Al-Watan TV, is a pirate station whose frequencies interfered with legal broadcasters and aircraft communications. It said several transmitters were confiscated in the operation initiated by Israel’s Communications Ministry.

Several thousand Palestinians rallied in Gaza and the West Bank Friday in support of jailed Islamic Jihad leader Khader Adnan, who is on the 62nd day of a hunger strike to protest against his detention by Israel.
"We are all Khader Adnan," chanted crowds gathered in the Gaza Strip, with activists from the main political parties joining forces in a rare display of Palestinian unity.

Israel has launched multiple air raids in the Gaza Strip, killing a former fighter and wounding at least 10 others, according to Palestinian officials.
The Israeli rocket on Tuesday hit a car parked next to a motorcycle belonging to the man.
Islamic Jihad, a Palestinian group, said the victim was a former member.
Another air attack hit a Hamas police vehicle and injured an officer and four others.

Members of the U.N. Security Council voiced deep concerns on Tuesday about the impasse in the Israeli-Palestinian peace process, and criticized Israel for pressing ahead with the construction of new settlements.
Council members were reacting to a briefing by U.N. assistant secretary-general for political affairs, Oscar Fernandez-Taranco, who told them the search for peace “remained elusive in a context of tensions on the ground, deep mistrust between the parties and volatile regional dynamics.”
West Bank cars torched in possible settler attack

Unidentified assailants torched five cars in the West Bank village of Beitin, north of Ramallah, early Monday, police said, in a possible revenge attack by extremist Jews.
“Police are searching for the suspects – it’s not clear exactly who was behind it -- and the investigation continues,” police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld told AFP.
