The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and Palestine Sheikh Mohammed Hussein said that the Israeli police prevented thousands of Palestinian worshippers from attending the Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.
Hussein said in a press statement that the Jerusalem police allowed Palestinian men over the age of 50 carrying Israeli identity card to enter the mosque for the prayer. He added that the women's entry was not limited. The Israeli police confirmed the move.

An Israeli human rights organization said that the Israeli military authorities consistently refrain from investigating cases where Palestinian civilians are killed by Israeli soldiers.
B’Tselem, the Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories, said in its new report released on Tuesday that soldiers who kill Palestinians in the West Bank are seldom punished, even when circumstances clearly indicate foul play.
59 percent of Israeli teens don’t want Arab students in their class

Two-thirds of Israeli teens say that Arab students living in Israel do not enjoy equal rights in schools, according to a study.
The survey, prepared for the “Education in the Digital Age” conference in the northern city of Haifa on Monday, also revealed that 59 percent of teens aged 15 to 18 believe that Arab students should not have equal rights in schools.
According to the survey, 96 percent of respondents want Israel to be a Jewish and democratic state.

Israeli aircraft bombed three Gaza tunnels, killing two Palestinians and wounding a third, Hamas security officials said Sunday.
Two more Palestinians were missing following the late Saturday airstrikes, which the Israeli military said was retaliation for Hamas shooting attacks.
The officials identified all five men as smugglers working in one of the many tunnels used to ferry goods under the Gaza-Egypt border. They spoke on condition of anonymity because authorities had not officially released the information.

Israeli policies of closure and blockade in the Palestinian Territories is costing the Palestinians economy billions of dollars and making them poorer, a United Nations report has claimed.
The UN Conference on Trade and Development's Annual Report on Assistance to the Palestinian People, released Tuesday, found that the direct and indirect costs of the Israeli blockade on Gaza, closure of the West Bank and 2008-2009 war in Gaza adds up to over $3 billion over the last three years.
