Majlis of Dagestani Ulama held in Makhachkala

Meeting of Dagestani theologians was held last Saturday at `AbdulHamid Afandi mosque in Makhachkala. The Majlis of Ulama was attended by representatives of the Spiritual Administration of Dagestani Muslims, imams of mosques of cities and regions, also representatives from the Ministry for National Policy, Religious affairs and Foreign relations, and other government officials.
Ramallah NAM meeting canceled as Israel bars ministers

A key meeting of Non-Aligned Movement ministers which was to have taken place in the West Bank yesterday was canceled after Israel denied five of them entry, officials said.
The ministers were to have attended a two-day meeting of the movement's Palestine Committee in Ramallah at which they were poised to sign a declaration in support of a fresh Palestinian bid for upgraded UN membership.
