Turkish Minister of Economy Zafer Caglayan has said, "EU is the most hypocritical institution of all time and the most hypocrite association in the world."

Speaking at the Elita Oil Factory's opening ceremony in southern province of Adana, Caglayan said, "EU is the most hypocrite union of all time and the most hypocritical association in the world and this hypocrite EU has had Turkey wait at its door for 50 years."

Minister Caglayan added that EU grew 1.5 percent last year and on the other side, Turkey grew 8.5 percent.

Five civil Turkish citizens were murdered in the small town of Akcakale adjacent to Syrian border by the shelling from Syrian side on October,3. Turkey has promptly launched retaliatory shelling over Syria on the same day and called The Turkish Parliament for an urgent session, on the next day, to authorize the Turkish troops for cross border operations in Syria.

“Where is Turkey heading” has become all the more important question since the last week then? Will Turkey battle with Syria? Or is she only intimidating the Syrian regime?

Russia’s foreign minister said Friday that a civilian Syrian jetliner impounded by Turkey on suspicion of transporting Russian military cargo illicitly to Syria was carrying only electronic components for a radar station, and that such equipment fell within the bounds of international agreements.

Turkish Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan said on Friday that Turkey and Malaysia had potential to make 11.7 billion U.S. dollars of foreign trade.

Delivering a speech at the Turkish-Malaysian Business Council meeting, Caglayan said that although total foreign trade of both countries was more than 776 billion U.S. dollars, trade volume between the two countries was 1.7 billion U.S. dollars.

The two countries would work to increase trade volume to 5 billion U.S. dollars in a shortest period of time, he said.

Syrian troops shelled several districts in Aleppo and clashed with rebels yesterday, as international peace envoy for Syria said he hoped for peace in Syria and an early return home for Syrian refugees.

The UN/Arab league envoy Lakhdar Brahimi yesterday met representatives of 1,300 Syrians at Altinozu camp in Hatay city, located on the border with their violence-racked homeland, in his first encounter since taking over the mission from his frustrated predecessor.
