Israel and Taiwan on Monday became the only two countries with no diplomatic links with Indonesia, after the government and House of Representatives agreed on the opening of new diplomatic relationships with 21 countries.
Foreign Affairs Minister Marty Natalegawa met with House Commission I, which oversees foreign affairs, to seek approval to formalize ties with 21 countries that are members of the United Nations.

The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and Palestine Sheikh Mohammed Hussein said that the Israeli police prevented thousands of Palestinian worshippers from attending the Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.
Hussein said in a press statement that the Jerusalem police allowed Palestinian men over the age of 50 carrying Israeli identity card to enter the mosque for the prayer. He added that the women's entry was not limited. The Israeli police confirmed the move.
Anti-Israeli Jewish group presents Turkey's Gul plaque

An anti Israeli Jewish group, also known as "Orthodox Jews-Hasidic Judaism", presented Turkish President Abdullah Gul a plaque in New York on Tuesday.
The group greeted President Gul at the entrance of Turkish House in New York and gave a plaque to Gul.
Members of the group said that they came to the Turkish House to express their appreciation to Turkey, its president and people for the friendship, hospitality, warmth and respect extended to Jews in and out of Turkey and the Palestinians living under pressure.
