Two civil liberties groups have sued the FBI, claiming that one of the agency’s former informants was ordered to target Muslims for surveillance when he infiltrated a California mosque.

The ACLU of Southern California and the Los Angeles office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations filed the lawsuit Tuesday in federal court, the Washington Post reported.

British premier David Cameron was accused of playing into the hands of rightwing extremists Saturday as he delivered a controversial speech on the failings of multiculturalism within hours of one of the biggest anti-Islam rallies ever staged in Britain.

Muslim and anti-fascist groups questioned the prime minister's judgment and sensitivity to the issues, saying he had handed a propaganda coup to the hard-right English Defence League as 3,000 of its supporters marched through Luton chanting anti-Islamic slogans.

Muslims in France face a tougher time landing a job interview than their Christian counterparts, suggested a study out Monday in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

The team of US and French researchers conducted the research by sending out 275 pairs of identical resumes, except that some had a fictitious Muslim applicant from Senegal and others had a Christian one.

Here something to stew over: Campbell’s Canadian-made tomato soup has become radicalized and is linked to terrorists, or at least, that’s what some whacky US conservative bloggers would like you to believe.

Campbell’s soup, a staple of pantries for over 100 years, has released a “Halal-certified” line of soups that allow Muslims to consume the products according to Islamic dietary laws.

Islamophobes are now frantically calling it a “Muslim takeover.”

Malaysia wants to assist the United States (US) in overcoming Islamophobia among the American society to allow them a better understanding of Islam and dispel negative perceptions towards the religion, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said.

The Malaysian prime minister said he conveyed the matter to US President Barack Obama during his intervention at the second Asean-US meeting in New York on Friday.
