For Zainab Ismail, a Bronx-born Hispanic woman, the turning point came in March 2009 after a wedding ceremony at a Catholic church.
“For some unknown reason, obviously now I know it was Allah–God–putting that thought and feeling in my heart, I no longer wanted to be Catholic. I didn’t know what I wanted to be but I no longer wanted to be Catholic,” Ismail recalls.
Less than three months later, Ismail embraced Islam and converted in June 2009.

Islam is getting increasing acceptance with increase in the false propaganda against the faith as more and more non-Muslims are studying Islam to know the reality of Islam and once they understand Islam, they embrace it with complete sincerity. The same happened in an extraordinary personal and political transformation, a former senior member of Geert Wilders’ anti-immigrant Freedom Party (PVV) has converted to Islam – saying it was the party’s anti-Muslim rhetoric which led him to look more deeply into his new religion.

Though a number of people convert to Islam at the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai on a daily basis, it was a one-family show on Tuesday morning.
A five-member Indian family embraced Islam.
Huda Al Kaabi, Head of New Muslims Section at the Department, said the whole family — the father, mother, daughter, son and his wife — approached the department on their own free will.

School teacher Darlene Derosier, a resident of Port-au-Prince, the capital city of Gaiti, lost her home in the 2010 earthquake that devastated her country. Her husband died a month later after suffering what she said was emotional trauma from the quake. She and her two daughters now live in tents outside the capital of Port-au-Prince, surrounded by thousands of others made homeless and desperate by the disaster.

Hawaii is the dreamland for holidaymakers. Annually thousands of tourists spend their winter in the comfortable climate of Hawaii which is like an earthen pot lying in the heart of Pacific Ocean. It is 2,300 miles from the US coast and 3,400 miles from the Asian coast of Japan.
In 1820 the first American missionaries came to preach Christianity and teach the Hawaiians Western ways. They succeeded converting many natives to Christianity. Now, there are thousands of Muslims living in Hawaii.

David Roy Woelke, a Canadian English language instructor at King Abdulaziz University, embraced Islam at the World Assembly of Muslim Youth’s (WAMY) headquarters here Wednesday.
Abdul Elah Al-Ajlan, deputy director of dawa programs at WAMY, assisted Woelke to recite the Shahadah (Lailaha Illallah Muhammad Rasulullah “there is no god but God and Muhammad is the Messenger of God” during a brief ceremony at the organization.

Sean, who has converted to Islam in Isfahan and selected the name of Ali for himself at the age of 27, said that the Islamic teachings can help the western communities including the United States resolve the problems facing them.
He said that the capitalist governing system in the West and the US has created numerous problems for humanity.
The capitalist system governing the western communities is void of spirituality, thus increasing the sufferings of the mankind, he said.

On Saturday, 37 people from seven Hindu families converted to Islam in Matli. They claim that more families will be embracing the religion in the coming weeks.
